What is Dermapen?
Microneedling is a treatment that uses small needles to cause small punctures in the skin. This creates tiny channels that stimulate the body to heal wounds and thus to renew the skin cells. The result is the formation of new collagen and elastic fibres. Skin damage such as scarring, pigment spots, sun damage and signs of aging can be treated.
What is NCTF 135HA®?
NCTF 135HA® is a unique poly-revitalising solution from FILORGA that fills in wrinkles and hydrates the dermis by delivering needed ingredients to the skin.
One advantage of micro-needling with NCTF® is that it is a biological therapy. It is a revitalising treatment that can be used for years without risk. It provides the cells with natural nutrients that are necessary for proper functioning. The improvement in skin condition during treatment is progressive. Nevertheless, the results are already visible after the first treatment – the skin is more hydrated and firmer. The effects are cumulative and after several treatments the skin becomes radiant and smooth, its structure improves, it becomes dense and firm.
What conditions can be treated with Dermapen?
- Slight to moderate acne scars
- Surgical scars
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks
- Pore size and skin structure
- Excessive scarring
- Sun-damaged skin
Who shouldn’t have a microneedling?
The contraindications for medical microneedling are: Skin cancer, acute acne inflammation or other infectious or inflammatory skin diseases, acute herpes infection, taking blood thinning drugs (ASA or similar), known allergies to local anaesthetics, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, had radiation or chemotherapy therapy within the last year.
Is there a risk of cross-contamination?
No. The Dermapen uses sterile disposable cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort.
Why Dermapen Treatment?
This treatment is similar to a laser treatment, but without the severe side effects or the long recovery time. In addition, studies have shown that Dermapen treatments are more effective than conventional microdermabrasion and chemical peelings.
The needle depth can be individually adjusted and thus enables a treatment that adapts to the individual needs of the customer.
Which areas can be treated with Dermapen?
Dermapen is most commonly used to treat scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and fine lines and reduces the appearance of skin laxity. The treatment can be applied to all parts of the body and is effective in reducing the size of pores, helping with hyperpigmentation or sun damage and improving the skin tone.
How many Dermapen treatments do I need?
To achieve an optimal result with medical microneedling, we recommend at least 2-3 treatments at intervals of approx. 4-6 weeks. It is recommended to do an annual refreshing treatment to maintain the result once achieved.
Is the Microneedling with the Dermapen painful?
An anaesthetic cream is applied before the treatment, which drastically reduces or completely eliminates the pain.
How often should I have Dermapen?
Dermapen can be repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction, we recommend starting with 2-3 treatments, but with a minimum interval of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. An average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended for scar reduction.
What are the side effects?
There are virtually no negative side effects from the procedure. None of the more than 150,000 interventions performed worldwide have been reported.
Are there downtimes?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades within 12 to 48 hours.
