Since the SculpSure® laser works non-invasively and therefore without penetration of devices or catheters into your body, risks are negligible. It is considered to be extremely gentle and low-risk. Patients only report tingling during treatment. The device has a modern cooling system that prevents the skin surface from heating up too much.
Furthermore, an integrated safety mechanism ensures that in the event of contact loss, the laser treatment is immediately interrupted and no further radiation can be emitted into the environment. For this reason, both the patient and the treating physician do not have to wear protective goggles, as is usually the case with other laser devices. The immediate presence of medical personnel during treatment is also not necessary, as the device works reliably and independently.
After treatment with SculpSure®, the area can sometimes be reddened or sensitive. A temporary numbness is also possible. In general, the possible side effects of the laser body contouring are mild and of short duration.
